Community Guidelines

Last updated: February 2, 2026

Simyr exists to help you share real moments with friends who actually know you. These guidelines protect that mission and the people in our community.

The short version: Be genuine. Be kind. Share moments, not performances. If you wouldn't show it to a friend sitting next to you, don't post it here.

What Simyr Is For

Simyr is a place for authentic connection through photo and video sharing. We built features like limited daily posts, meaningful reactions, and a feed that ends because we believe social apps should make you feel better, not worse.

We encourage:

Who Can Use Simyr

Simyr is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We enforce this through age verification during registration and platform-level restrictions on app stores.

For more information, see our Child Safety Standards.

Respecting Others

Your Simyr network is made up of real connections—people who accepted your invite. Treat them with respect.

Be considerate

No harassment or bullying

Prohibited Content

Some content has no place on Simyr. We remove this content and may terminate accounts that post it.

Never allowed:

Hate speech

We don't allow content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious medical conditions. This includes:

Graphic and disturbing content

Simyr is for sharing moments from your life, not shocking imagery. We don't allow:

Nudity and sexual content

Simyr is not a platform for sexual content. We don't allow:

Exceptions may apply for non-sexual contexts like breastfeeding, art, or health-related content—but when in doubt, don't post it.

Misinformation

We may remove content that spreads demonstrably false information that could cause real-world harm, including:

Authenticity

Simyr works because people are who they say they are. Keep it real.

Be yourself

One account per person

No spam

Safety and Security

Protect yourself

Protect others

Intellectual Property

Respect others' creative work:

Reporting Violations

If you see something that violates these guidelines, please report it. Reporting is confidential—the person you report won't know who filed the report.

How to report

When you report, please include as much context as possible. What specifically concerns you? When did it happen? This helps us investigate quickly.

What happens after you report

Enforcement

When someone violates these guidelines, we take action proportional to the severity of the violation.

Violation Severity Possible Actions
Minor or first-time Warning, content removal, temporary feature restrictions
Repeated or serious Temporary suspension, permanent feature restrictions
Severe (illegal content, threats, CSAM) Immediate permanent ban, report to law enforcement

We consider factors including:

Appeals

If you believe we made a mistake in enforcing these guidelines against your account or content, you can appeal.

How to appeal

We review appeals and aim to respond within 7 days. Our decision on appeal is final.

Your Tools

You have control over your Simyr experience:

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as Simyr evolves. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use of Simyr after changes means you accept the updated guidelines.
