Community Guidelines
Last updated: February 2, 2026
Simyr exists to help you share real moments with friends who actually know you. These
guidelines protect that mission and the people in our community.
The short version: Be genuine. Be kind. Share moments, not performances.
If you wouldn't show it to a friend sitting next to you, don't post it here.
What Simyr Is For
Simyr is a place for authentic connection through photo and video sharing. We built features
like limited daily posts, meaningful reactions, and a feed that ends because we believe
social apps should make you feel better, not worse.
We encourage:
- Sharing everyday moments with friends who know you
- Reacting with intention—tell people how their post made you feel
- Building connections with people you actually meet or know
- Taking breaks when you're caught up—that's the point
- Being yourself, not a curated version of yourself
Who Can Use Simyr
Simyr is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an
account. We enforce this through age verification during registration and platform-level
restrictions on app stores.
For more information, see our Child Safety Standards.
Respecting Others
Your Simyr network is made up of real connections—people who accepted your invite. Treat
them with respect.
Be considerate
- Remember there's a real person on the other side of every profile
- Use reactions to support and connect, not to mock or dismiss
- Respect boundaries—if someone blocks you, don't try to circumvent it
-
Don't share someone else's posts or information outside Simyr without their permission
No harassment or bullying
- Don't target individuals with unwanted, hostile, or degrading content
- Don't coordinate with others to harass someone
- Don't use Simyr to stalk, intimidate, or threaten anyone
- Don't create accounts to evade blocks or continue unwanted contact

post it.

- Content that promotes violence against individuals or groups
- Credible threats of physical harm

religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious medical
conditions. This includes:
- Slurs and dehumanizing language
- Harmful stereotypes presented as fact
- Calls for exclusion or segregation
- Content denying well-documented historical atrocities
Graphic and disturbing content
Simyr is for sharing moments from your life, not shocking imagery. We don't allow:
- Gratuitous violence or gore
- Dead bodies or graphic injury
- Animal cruelty
- Content designed solely to shock or disturb
Nudity and sexual content
Simyr is not a platform for sexual content. We don't allow:
- Explicit sexual imagery or pornography
- Sexual solicitation
- Unsolicited sexual content in reactions or messages
Exceptions may apply for non-sexual contexts like breastfeeding, art, or health-related
content—but when in doubt, don't post it.
Misinformation
We may remove content that spreads demonstrably false information that could cause
real-world harm, including:
- Health misinformation that could endanger lives
- Manipulated media designed to deceive
- False information about civic processes (voting, census)
Authenticity
Simyr works because people are who they say they are. Keep it real.
Be yourself
- Don't impersonate real people, brands, or organizations
- Don't pretend to be someone you're not to deceive others
- Parody or fan accounts aren't permitted—this is a personal sharing app
One account per person
- You may only have one Simyr account
- Don't create accounts to evade bans or blocks
- Don't use automated tools or bots
No spam
- Don't use Simyr to promote products, services, or schemes
- Don't send mass invites to people you don't know
- Don't manipulate connections for commercial purposes
Safety and Security
Protect yourself
- Don't share sensitive personal information (addresses, financial info, ID numbers)

- Use a strong, unique password for your account
Protect others
- Don't share other people's private information without consent (doxxing)
- Don't attempt to access accounts that aren't yours
